Prevent sexual harassment
In this online resourse, we present statistics on the incidence of sexual harassment, we present the legislation and how to assess and handle cases. The course includes perspectives on power, relations and boundaries, and how sexual harassment intersects with stereotypes, prejudice and other forms of discrimination. We outline risk factors for abuse of power in arts and culture and suggest some measures to meet risks. Photo: Audun Selnes
'Hersketeknikker' and harassment
This online course presents the phenomenon called 'hersketeknikker' in Norwegian – subtle condescending and belittling behaviors that put others down, either intended or unintended. By naming what causes self-doubt and discomfort, we are able to talk about it and challenge the power relations. Severe cases of hersketeknikker can be considered harassment, and may be illegal.
